Good Hope completed the 2022 season with a 5-6 record. With their 3-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 4A region six, the Raiders earned a spot in the playoffs in 2022. Good Hope's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Dora by a score of 34-6. Good Hope took a step backwards last year with their first losing season since 2017. Good Hope was inconsistent offensively last year and they need some improvement if the Raiders want to be competitive. They only averaged 18.2 points a game. Since 2010, Good Hope has gone a combined 66-75. Their 46.8% winning percentage ranks 37th in Class 4A over the past thirteen seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Good Hope has managed to compile a record of 148-126. Their 54.0% winning percentage ranks 19th in Class 4A and 153rd in the AHSAA. The Raiders are led by head coach Alan Scott who is entering his ninth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 50-40 over the past eight seasons at Good Hope. Under his direction the Raiders have qualified for the playoffs a total of five times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Scott. Over the course of his career, Coach Scott's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of seven times . The Raiders could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region six this season with a few breaks and a little improvement. The Raiders open the 2023 season at home against non-region opponent West Point on Friday, August 25 at James W. Shabel Stadium. Last year the West Point Warriors finished with an overall record of 3-7 and in fifth place in Class 5A region eight. Good Hope and West Point have met a total of 44 times on the football field.
